Scotch Pine Tile
Scotch Pine tile is crafted from porcelain and hand dipped in Rick's specially formulated glaze. All of our tiles are handmade in our Michigan studio. Scotch Pine is a vintage Whistling Frog design.
There is a notch on back for hanging, yet if you wish to install, it's also suitable for that too. If used outdoors in freezing temperatures, just make sure to keep it vertical. 4x4” is a nominal size. The actual measurements are 3.75 x 3.75" with raised relief of .5" or less. Tile stand sold separately.
We donate $.50 to the Grand Traverse Regional Land Conservancy for each tile you purchase. The GTRLC creates accessible land for growing trees, migrating birds, and hiking humans. Thanks for helping to preserve beautiful Northwest Michigan. It’s feel good time!
How’s it made? Sculpt the original design, make plaster mold, press in clay, wait to dry, fire in kiln, glaze, fire again to about 2230 degrees. Cool. Ship to your doorstep. Yay!
